Absolutely love this place. I already loved the staff and the way they run it, i had to be shortly deffered due to faulty equipment errors that gave me a technical blood loss but it was none of their faults and they still handled everything professionally. So i went to csl and holy crap that place is a nightmare. I cant wait to come back to grifols in a couple weeks. Seriously some of the friendliest staff ive ever met
Made an appointment and got told there were 3 people in front of me. Prob like half hour after my appointment time and I'm getting on the floor. It's kinda wack that I book a time and get there early. Maybe folks book a time cause it fits in there schedule. The people who book an appointment and show up on time are made to wait for any who just randomly walks in. Smh should fix this. Not fair to the ones who take the time to book an appointment and show up. We do this to make things easier and be proper. I expect the business to do the same.
I’m not sure of the staff member’s name, but during my recent donation appointment I had a deeply concerning experience. From the beginning, the technician was unprofessional and dismissive she did not acknowledge me, avoided eye contact, and appeared to whisper about me to coworkers, which made me uncomfortable as a donor. While I was connected to the machine, she adjusted it to the fastest setting without explanation. This caused significant pain, and I later learned that the setting was unnecessarily high. When the donation ended, she removed the needle abruptly and wrapped my arm poorly. After leaving, I began bleeding heavily and had to return to the facility. When I came back inside visibly bleeding and waiting for assistance, the same staff member saw me and completely ignored me. Another employee eventually rewrapped my arm properly. This is not the first negative experience I’ve had at this location, but this incident crossed a serious line. Improper machine settings, careless needle removal, and failure to respond to an actively bleeding donor create a real risk of injury. I’m extremely concerned that someone could be seriously harmed if this behavior continues.
Overall the facility is nice, the front staff are usually pretty blunt but not overly rude, and the medical staff are nice and do their jobs well. I would give 5 stars if not for etima, on my last donation she stuck me and left a large painful bruise so today when she stuck me I was not shy about telling her the needle was in too far, she argued and said it's fine before abruptly walking away. Unsurprisingly my arm is now starting to bruise I will not let her stick me again and may not be coming.
Etima, Jada and the amazing Chicka are absolutely the best. Their phlebotomy skills are a 10 out of 10. Whenever I show up and I see that they are here makes me insta happy. Request them next time. Also use my name as a reference and get extra cash. Kase Allouzi
