Came here for the 1st time yesterday night. The ladies working here were super helpful and so friendly. They didn't mind that we had shown up a little late and my wife took a bit long to decide on what she wanted. We were so enthusiastic about the selection available and just the sheer quantity of wools, yarns, and specialty materials available. Big thing for me was the prices, reasonable with a wide range of options depending on what you are looking for! Compared to other wool/yarn shops in the area I was enthusiastic to see the quality on hand without forking my entire wallet over. We will be coming here from now on for any material needs!

More reviews on GoogleWe were in town for the holidays and I was looking for a beginner knitting pattern and supplies for a gift. They had kits at the store but they were out, so instead I got wonderful recommendations for a pattern, good yarn and needles. The ad hoc kit was exactly what I was hoping for!!! The store was fully stocked with a wide variety of yarns. And the pricing was so reasonable. While we were winding the skeins for my gift yarn I also got a lot of advice for myself!! My favorite part about knitting is the community, and this shop exemplifies everything I love about this community. If I didn’t have to fly home I would have bought a whole sweater’s worth of their yarn just for me. I look forward to coming back the next time I am visiting Portland.
This shop is a gem. They have beautiful yarn at reasonable prices. I'll definitely go there again.
On my recent visit to Portland I knew I needed to visit at least one yarn shop, and this didn't disappoint. This is a yarn shop I would LOVE to have in my neighborhood. (Though my bank account would not love it.) Google maps took me here and I didn't want to leave! The staff was lovely, and the selection of yarn is impressive. The colors, the indie dyers, the aesthetic nature of the displays... All impeccably curated for the Dream Yarn Experience. I complimented one of the staff member's projects and she was kind enough to explain it wasn't easily available online. However, when I mentioned that I was new to crochet she recommended her pattern on Ravelry, "Cammie's Crash Course Blanket" & explained that it would help develop new skills. Having been a knitter for over 20 years now, this was impressive. I love seeing fiber artists and crafters bringing each other up. She didn't have to explain anything, or offer additional help, but it was kind and generous. I left with a lot of yarn and a new project bag, and they were super great. I now have plans to return again when I go back to Portland on another road trip. Worth a visit!
Nice yarn store with high quality yarns. Very nice staff. Well organized and stocked.
